Munch,

Yes... At least 8.5. It's the best pressing I've ever heard. I took a chance on flea bay. Near Mint for $16.50 and worth every cent.

Cut Copy was not really my cup of tea, but I do dig this one by the Black Keys. I'm not that familiar with them - any recommendations on earlier albums?

This band has so much material, they really are amazing.

Oliver, sorry you didn't get into cut copy, if you decide to give it another spin, maybe try with the later part of the album, say track 9 onwards. I really like it and it has been flogged in the car. Can't wait for the PT gig tommorrow nite.

Oliver, I have this album, I don't play it much and I don't know what their new stuff sounds like but this one is a thick raunchy bluesy sounding album.

Gianluigi,

Initial thoughts are pretty good. Enjoyable stuff, some good organ as you would expect from Winwood and I always love his voice. Not as poppy as his mid 80's stuff.

Time will tell whether it gets a lot of airplay this year but worth a punt if you like him.

Cheers

Peter,

It is from this box set. Sound quality is excellent. The Doors are one of those bands that I, for some strange reason, have never played. Well I am putting that right having bought this boxset and the new limited edition vinyl release. Have to say what I have heard so far is excellent.

Enjoy the MF7's. You have made a very good decision indeed. I look forward to the pictures. I bet the wait until Wednesday is a little painful!!

It is killing me! They are in as new condition too.

I have not had any music other than on my ipod!

So many albums that I can't wait to play.

I will order this box set. I have heard that the complete studio recordings is excellent sounding. I cant remember who mastered it off the top of my head. Bernie Grundman comes to my mind.

One thing that struck me about the 7's is the quality of the high frequencies. Vocals sound superb.
