"K" Boards

Am I right in thinking that the "K" phone boards are the correct boards for my Ortofon MC30 S cartridge?

Michael,

As long as the output is not too low, I think its should be fine. I used K card with catridges that is between 0.4 to 0.8 mV. Anything lower than that I have to turn the vol knob to about 4-5 o'clock. Scary.

IIRC the "K" boards are specifically for Linn cartridges. Something to do with not being rolled off at high frequencies, the rationale being that most other MC carts emit a lot of hash at those frequencies, which the "S" boards block. YMMV!
