Keven Keegan back at Newcastle

Posted by: antony d on 16 January 2008

Well who would of thought it the prodigal son returns to Newcastle - I don't follow football that closely (wrong shape ball) but this must be good news for the fan's - lets hope the management give him the time he needs - next move could be Allan Shearer as 2nd??

It's obviously working. How many games, how many goals against? Now 1 goal and 1 point! Wow! Winker Smile

.....Hi Nic re the above ...I have to say that you may well be right about Man U home fans but tbh whenever Man U come to the SOL they ALWAYS fill every seat and make a right old racket throughout the match (many quite witty songs sung as well) you can tell by some of the songs they sing (which go back 20 yrs or more!) that most of their away fans are true mancs rather than the cliched' belief that they are all London based.

As for tonight ...A Bolton defeat was expected ....but thank the lord Man U did enough! ....and re your game on Saturday against Fulham I guess a win for the dark side HAS to be a better result Mackem wise ...although I can NEVER actually say "I hope you win"! ..erm' I sorta just did didn't I? DOH!

My doom laden Newcastle posts of late appear to have rejuvinated the bar codes Big Grin

If the scores stay the same what an afternoon for the north East in the Prem. First away win of the season for Sunderland?

Aston Villa 0-1 Sunderland

Middlesbrough 1-0 Derby

Newcastle 2-0 Fulham

By tis going to be lively at the bottom this year

Tottenham 1-3 Newcastle

The Messiah appears to have risen at last Eek

One would imagine that Newcastle are safe from the drop now

Tottenham 1-4 Newcastle

I suppose Spurs haven't much to play for, no Europe, no relegation - mid table mediocrity !!!

Diccus,

Should be a good day at work tomorrow, for all except the smoggies!

For a change I am looking forward to MOTD. He he.

Gilberto Gil was excellent yesterday. New restaurant for you, Viva, attached to the Live Theatre. Only a short walf from the Sage.

Regards

Good news Nic! Looks like some of us could have egg on our faces!

I won't change my mind about Keegan though!

Previously been in the restaurant attached to Live but not for a few years. Have to check it out for lunch one of these days - can't keep away from the 'Cafe Royal' Smile
