Acoustic Blues

Heard some wonderful Cds lately. Anybody heard of "Catfish Keith"? Superb CD. Anybody who likes Acoustic Blues check this guy out as soon as you can.
I am pretty new to this genre of music, has anyone got any other artists I can check out? So far I have heard Keb Mo, and Eric Bibb.

Check out Muddy Waters-Folk Singer. I like it a lot. Great recording too!
Also, no lover of acoustic blues should be without Robert Johnson-The Complete Recordings. Very early mono (1930's), but essential!

Jim,

Try Whitley's fourth album, Dirt Floor - recorded using one mike direct to two-track, in one day.

thanks for the info on Kelly Joe Phelps. I went into Borders in Leeds which have a good acoustic blues section and saw Kelly Joe on the listening posts. I think it's his new CD "Sky like a Broken Clock". Well I bought it and it is excellent. I am really getting in to this kind of music. I had a quick look at his other CDs as well. The one that you mentioned was there, I will probably invest in that CD as well.
I will be checking out Muddy Waters next. Thanks all for your inputs.
