Positioning of equipment on rack.

Hi All

Has anybody else experienced the improvement wrought by moving the equipment on the rack so that it is in the middle of the shelf. I did this recently with my Micromega Stage5 on Sound Org rack and noticed that the sound was a bit better integrated and more relaxed. I moved the tuner and cassette deck too and then experimented with the Amps 92/Flatcap/90.3 which are on an old Target TT1 Rack. I used to have all the equipment to the front edge for ease of use and aesthetic appeal but after the improvements in sound realised by this small change I won't be going back. Anybody got any ideas why this is so and it does'nt seem to just be the material of the shelves as the Sound org are glass and target are wooden. Your'e views on this would be very enlightening.

Thanks

Bog seats were designed to force users to place the equipment in the centre of the shelf.

Otherwise it's an expensive trip to your dealers with a poorly box.

Has anyone experimented with putting their boxes on the shelf upside-down?

I know it isn't going to work with a CDS2, but it might with the other boxes.

Steve.
