Att. UFO "Strangers" fans.

You may be aware, but in case you are not. EMI have re-released the classic double live "Strangers in the Night". The cat no. is 0946 3 58834 2 8.

The sound is very good, much better than the first CD release and they have reverted to the original vinyl track running order. There was an "Extended" edition on Capital, which contained two additional tracks but messed with the packaging and track order.

One of the very best rock live albums imo.

A true classic. I saw them on the tour which was promoting this and although Michael Schenker had moved on they were still a fantastic live band.

I was always curious about the extended CD but never bothered in the end. Maybe I'll update it now if I come across it here.

Cheers

Scott,

Save yourself the dosh.

The only attraction of the "Extended" version was better sound than the first CD.

The new release sounds excellent. The two extra tracks are not worth the change in running order, or the inclusion of more moronic banter with the crowd.

Great album and you hear the best from Michael Schenker. Every single song except maybe for one is great. The solo in 'love to love' is awesome. UFO as a band sound so tight and hot very dangerous to play when driving because one could easily do 100mph withot even noticing the speed...!
