Halford's Bargain

This weekend I bought from Halfords a Blaupunkt CD/MP3/Tuner unit (I think it's the Calgary model) for a mere 99 pounds, reduced from £199. I comes with a standard monoblock on the back and ten minutes were all that was required to swap over units.

It seems like an excellent unit, it has a fairly conservative facia, moderm but not technoflash, a seperate line in socket for iPod or whatever and a random selection facility for use with MP3 recorded disks. Oh and the sound is very pleasing, at least to my ear.

Halfords have some incredible bargains turn up in their ICE departments. I always give the bargain-bins a scan when I'm in there, and as a result my daughters have excellent sound systems in their old bangers for very little money. The best deals have been on discounted speakers, but it helps to know what you are buying.
