Popping Noises

Has anyone else run into this? I recently bought a used 102 to replace a Linn LK-1 preamp. When I turn on a light switch or the fridge motor comes on, I hear a popping sound through the speakers, but only when the preamp is in phono mode. This can be annoying late at night if I leave the volume cranked and forget to switch to CD or tuner mode before retiring. I thought that installing a dedicated line would fix the problem, but it hasn't. This didn't happen with the LK-1. Any suggestions? confused

Are 'normal'
My old fridge (early 60's valve model)used to do it before I upgraded it to a new eco friendly one. I had considered putting it on phase 4 mana but it was cheaper to buy a new one. Since moving from MM to MC, the central heating boiler is now also noticable as it fires up. I have a separate mains spur and this helps to reduce noise but doesn't eliminate it. I'm going to try and mount the boiler on a fraim...
