Hi Simon,

I'm going to ask the obvious question - what can you tell us about Naim's Hi-Res strategy?
What equipment can this be used on currently, just the N-Vi/AV2?

Thanks,
Waz

Thanks Waz,

Well...we have been working on re-recording the original analogue tapes for our True Stereo catalogue and re-mastering them in 24/96. So look out for a further albums becoming available next year. We recognise that download is the future (and are working on a solution that shouls iron out all the issues of allowing our competition to venture into this market ahead of us!), so you may not see too many more physical sound carriers for hi-res audio files. This could make the limited edition (1000x) naim classical titles , as above, quite rare!

These discs in fact are not aimed at playback through an n-Vi! They are perfect for sharing over a network (with a player/streamer that supports Hi-Res playback) ideally the Naim HDX! By drag and dropping these files into a shared folder on a computer or a NAS drive that can be plug and played into the HDX player.

I hope that answers your question! Thanks for your interest...
