Sad news indeed. I went to two Peter, Paul and Mary concerts in the eighties and both times were just magic

What a shame - they were a lovely trio & she had an exceptional voice.
Time to get out the guitar & my Peter Paul & Mary Songbook for a trip down memory lane.

My first hearthrob. Sniffle.
My favourite on you tube - even if Mary doesn't play a big part - their version of Gordon Lightfoot's Early Morning Rain

It only went to show that "protest" and beauty could go together. RIP and thanks for the memories.

Yes, so sad. She'd had a rough time especially towards the end I gather.
It was P P & Mary who first got me playing the guitar. I wanted to sing, protest and get in a folk group with a tall blonde bird too.
As somebody said earlier, you begin to feel your age more and more as contemporary heroes fade away...
Don, slightly lugubrious downtown York

Yeah I remember the 60s and their songs. Easy to learn and sing. I had a roommate at college that had a cassette tape and my favorite was Leaving on a Jet Plane, it always reminded me there would be sad partings and times. Made me think about what was important and being independent. Being an Army kid we moved a lot and I've never had a long time in one place tho going on 13 years in this apartment.
