Hi all,
Well,,,,japanese members in this forum?
Too small, I guess.
Then our choice would be...
1) join the Singapole community
2) pretend like a big community
3) make a Pacific Ocean area community
4) stay the underground of this forum (deeeep!)
Anyway I do not care nationalities or any specific communities, but, yes, I want to know how many japanese residents in this forum. (again, does not matter your nationality. japanese residents)
Raise your hand, if you are here.
If not, I will be in underground again.
Masahiro

Over the years we have sold many thousands of units in Japan however since our distributor retired we have had problems to find a new distributor who wishes to sell Naim and offer the type of sales and service we require.
Any ideas from you and your friends about possible high quality distributors would be very welcome.
Please email at the factory.

akituki-san,
Nice system there, although I would look for some better stands for your LS3/5a loudspeakers. Linn Kan stands are still available and will fit them perfectly (there's a couple of dealers on the main road in Akihabara). Although LS3/5a loudspeakers may prefer heavy stands.
Given the lack of distributor in Japan, how do you recommend buying Naim kit in Japan? Do you have to buy abroad, or rely on the 2nd hand market for the moment?

Tip 1: Change your mains plug fuses at least once a year

Andrew san, Kon ban ha(Good evening)
Thank you for your reply and advice!!
I heard Kan stand is suitble for, and former owner used it.
Yesterday I sell Ls3/5a by Auction, because My SBL will come TOMORROW from Singapore.
Lack of distributer, there is a few new one as shop's stock. we can still get repair parts and maintenance, but we can't buy NACA5, becase it is products.
I bought Naim from my freind as second hand, or from bidding auction. Nap160 was from England by ebay.
Nap160 was fully maintenanced at Salisbury.
Instead of s/n is 23xx, sound is fresh and powerfull!
Thanks again your Tip1, it's very usefull!!

Hello Akituki and Masaccio,
I am a Naimee living in Chiba (Matsudo-shi) with a humble Nait 2, about to be replaced by a 32.5+160 courtesy of ebay.
I wish I had known about the LS/3as for auction. I need better speakers.
Best,
Peter

Ohayo gozaimasu(Good morning) Peter-san
Recently I got Nap160 from ebay, is more powerful and timing than LK100.
Ls/3....,Ls3/5a?
I just selled my Ls3/5a by auction, it was good.
Many people says Ls3/5a is good conbination with Nait2. I tried Ls3/5a+Nait2, very confartable sound. Ls3/5a+nac42.5+snaps+nap160, accurate and tighten bass.
Used Ls3/5a is expensive, I selled old model(15ohm) for Yen65000, someone bidding newmodel(11ohm) for Yen91000!!.

Nice to meet you, Peter.
Happy to hear from you.
Now I am just borrowing NAIT2 from Akituki.
This rig is bloody good with Royd sintra. As you know, Royd presents speedy and clear sounds.
Meanwhile, with isobariks, not so good...
(I need big amps for briks..., Oh where is Naim in this country??)
You mention alternative speakers for nait2/32.5+160. Royd speakers are one of the solutions, still available in this awful recession country.
Best wishes,
Masahiro

Maybe we will take a demo room at the next show in Japan and try to find a good distributor!

Hi Paul
It's good news!
I am looking forward to see your new series.
When would you be JAPAN for the show?

I am a foreigner Naimee living in Tokyo.
Too bad about the lack of Naim distributor, because Japan has a fanatical crowd of audiphiles.
Does anyone know if there any (new or used) stores in Tokyo who are sympathetic towards Naim gears? I have NEVER seen Naim gear anywhere during my stay here in the past 3 years.

We had been selling for about 15 years in Japan. THe nait with Rogers ls35a was sold in about 30 dealers with an LP12.
Our distributor retired as did the economy and we are still looking for a suitable distributor.
We have some offers but not the right choice for us.

Akituki San,
Thanks for your intro of Japanese Naim stores, I will get my friends to bring me there. Is used Main gear priced reasonably in Japan?
I just have a humble system in Japan:
Naim Nait II
NACA-5 cable
Pioneer DV-747 DVD/SACD/CD player
Celestion A-1 Speakers
Am looking for a reasonably price amp with enough power to drive the Celestion. Right now the Nait seems to have trouble resolving Orchestral and Choral music, it sounds quite harsh the above. But sounds wonderul with Jazz and vocal music.

Happy to see a naim user in Japan.
ODEX still repair/service naim rigs.
Just call Mr.OOKI of ODEX(Very nice, he is.).
But,,,
if you hate to wait a long time, better send items to UK.
Mine is meridian588/nac72/hi/250/250/SBL,/aktive/LK280s/briks

For all those in Japan..I may be in a position to sell a six month old CD5 shortly. I am considering upgrading to a CDX2. I don't really want to sell on EBAY as I am likely to get enquiries from the US and elsewhere. With the shipping costs involved I wouild have to sell below what I would consider to be a fair price.
The player is in absolutely perfect condition - and is currently in an all Naim system. I have the box, instructions, remote etc.
As I said before, I am just looking to see if there is any interest out there before I go any further.
Please e-mail me direct if you would have interest. rainman@gol.com

One more thing. I know this forum is not supposed to be used for Selling etc. I hope the moderators will let this pass as they know that there is no distributor in Japan and as I do not speak any Japanese its kind of difficult to trawl through second hand web sites here!
