This new Skype 5.0 beta version brings Skype much more in line with its Windows counterpart in both features and interface.

Are you using it Peter?

If so any comments?

Still at work Winker. Will try it this evening when I get home (I normally do not take my laptop to the office).

I thought I'd let you be the guinea pig for it. Winker Smile

Just installed the Skype 5.0 beta, played around a bit with it. I guess that most Mac users do not like the big GUI, however, you can close the main window, and use a more compact "Contact Monitor" window. Apart from some major interface changes, there is a new feature - the Group Video Calling (GVC).
In summary. All the functionality that once was there is still there, it's just less intuitive, bigger, chunkier than the previous 2.8 version, but I personally like the new version better, although I have a feeling that the video / audio quality is slightly worse.

On a second thought, I've decided to go back to Skype 2.8 until Skype polish off the 5.0 rough edges.
