Can someone suggest a suitable mc cartridge for a linn axis with basik arm. Ive heard that the basik isnt really suited to moving coils however
The 72 Ive just acquired has 323/5 boards. Ideally I might change the arm at latter time when funds allow this. Any suggestions would be apreciated.

How much are you prepared to spend?
Do remember the hierarchy rule.....it does work with a veangeance with record players. The "motor unit" (or turntable) is most important followed by the arm, then the cartridge. I know for a fact that a Michell Orbe with RB300 & £200 Ortophon MC25FL easily outperforms a Gyrodek (no QC) with SMEV and Ortophon Rohmann
I had a Gyro/RB300/MC25FL....the biggest upgrade came (after the QC) from changing the Gyro for an Orbe, the next biggest was replacing the RB300 with an SMEV, then the cartridge. I was able to try and compare all the above combinations because I bought the better kit before selling the older stuff
So my advice...get the best player(& PSU)you can afford before worrying about arms or cartridges.
