Without doubt the best time of year for me, you can always keep warm in winter, but you can't keep cool in summer!

The stone wall in the first picture looks centuries old. Would that be correct?

This may be slightly older?

I guess so Steve, although they are continously rebuilt. The drystone skills are preserved, in fact I think farmers do get financial inducement to keep the walls in good condition.

Dear Nime this last looks more like England than Norway (assuming as I do the photo is taken near your home), but maybe Danmark really is more like England than Norway, which is generally much starker and more rugged.

All the best from Fredrik

The bits of Denmark that I know are all rolling low hills and as green as any part of England. They haven't a real hill to save themslves. Oddly some of the hills were left behind as the bottoms of ice-age lakes.

Amusingly they use the word bjerg (meaning mountain) for any high ground. This is a local highpoint:

Indeed, that could be in Herefordshire! Grand! Fredrik

Or, by coincidence, the view from the top. (without the red writing) Smile

I've been to Denmark and can attest that much of the landscape is indeed like that of the UK.....with extra wind generators!

Cheers,

Jon

A Sony digital, DCS V or V1 or sommething like that. Not sure it will still be made, has 5 megapixel and a nice zeiss lens. Not terribly fancy but it has been excellent, enough exposure flexibilty to cope with difficult lighting etc.

I'm using a Sony P71 3.2 Cybershot DSC with "Standard quality" 1600 x 1200 picture settings for more images. I think it was about £200 (when it was available) + £80 for a 128MB Memory Stick. Images are simply "Resized" to "small" in XP for the forum.
