dvd5 cd replay problem

Hi,
after few years of use my dvd5 doesnt want to read cds anymore. when I insert cd it starts to read it but after a while it stops, with stop button on! dvd playback is ok.
Some ideas what to do?!

Start by checking the batteries in your remote. When they start running out strange things start happening.

I would suggest a faulty transport mechanism if you are still able to play DVD's.
I assume this happens with a variety of CD's?

just reset dvd5 with clear button and now it reads cds again. Thanks to everyone who helped!

gasper, could you forward your DVD5 firmware / software versions on to the factory via the appropriate channels? Seems this also came up here once before, curious to see how....
