The East of England is expected to be a bit damp...flood warnings
Time to get your valuables upstairs. Bet you all wish that East Anglia didn't have the world's highest concentration of DBLs

More annoyingly why does the BBC website have about 2 inches of space before the text flows to the next line, meaning you have to scroll 400 metres to read the damned information!

I am in Lowestoft ... predicted to be the worst hit area.....and I believe I own Britain's eastern most full Naim system...we are thankfully 2 miles from the North Sea and on a small hill...so fingers crossed the NBL's will be fine!

I hope everything is OK in Suffolk and Norfolk and nobody is hurt.

Dear All,
Thank goodness i moved to Sydney as my previous home in Lowestoft was several feet under in 1953. Also a few years ago ,early 2000's, half the road was flooded i was lucky as water came within 6 inches of the floor joists.
Mind you it is PISSING DOWN here and cold and very unseasonal, had to use a hot water bottle last night for my cold trotters.
So hopefully the high tide of approx 3 metres so it said on radio on way home this evening will not cause too much damage. They said GtY would be worst hit with London in trouble and Flood defences deployed.
regards David

Thanks for your good wishes Jon. I think we're all pretty safe where we are. I'm actually in "High Suffolk". All of 90 ft above sea level!

Has it happened?

Thankfully, no.

Having lived through the Midwest "super flood" in the early 1990's I wish you all the best of luck.
Heard on the radio that the worst has passed, and the barriers held?
