Beatles Collection in 24-bit FLAC/16kHz Resolution

I own both the mono and stereo box sets and I listened to 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' in 24-bit FLAC/16kHz format today (As per the metal apple). The music was sourced from a USB pen drive into a Naim DAC. Amplification was 282/HI-CAP/250.

I thought the 24-bit version sounded really good. Different to the stereo CD and I couldn't make up my mind which I preferred.

Anyone here heard the FLAC versions of the Beatles albums? Which do you prefer?

I have the Beatles Stereo USB and the Mono Box. My friend the stereo box on CD. We tested my USB FLAC vs. his stereo CD box. We used my NAIM Uniti. So I liked the FLAC 24 Bit better. After the test my friend went to his record shop to buy the USB FLAC version. There is a difference and to my opinion the FLAC version sounds better, except for the early albums where I prefer the Mono version

Presumably you had to transfer the FLAC files from the original to WAV in order to play them through the DAC?

Not really. The Naim Uniti supports with the Firmware Version 2 also 24 Bit FLAC. The FLACs on the USB are 24 Bit 44.1 kHz. So no conversion required.
