I have just seen the new Borat film - I can't make up my mind if the scene where he goes to a born again evangelist church service is totatally hilarious or deeply disturbing. I have not laughed so much since Monty Python's Meaning of Life. High Five!

I was surprised last year when after reading it myself, I sent the copy to my Mother in England. She generally reads light novels to balance out her passion for serious 'allround' religious, historical and philosophical stuff which she's studied on and off for many many years. I asked her why she didn't even want to open it, as although a Christian in the loosest sense of the word, she found it's general theme totally distastful and uninteresting too; in her words?
Regards,
Fritz Von It was almost as if she'd been barred from even touching it by some mysterious force?
P.S. On this occassion I decided to post directly in this thread rather than bring the topic to my own, I trust this hurts nobody, one must always protect the innocent remember, innit*

That's hilarious Mick! I would like to invite you to south east DC one day with a sign around your neck saying "I despise welfare scroungers!"
These broad brush-stroke statements really make you look like a fool.
