Where to put FlatCaps and HiCaps?

The two Hi-Caps on the 82 will boost it hugely beyond either 82(alone) or 82/2*Flat. In contrast, 3.5/Hi is only a little bit better than 3.5/Flat.

What you really need to do, however, is put the two Hi-Caps on the 82, then sell the 3.5 and both Flat-Caps, and get yourself a CDX.

I went from CD3.5/FlatCap, which I liked a great deal, to a CDX. Until the CDX was put on a decent support (name your poison) it didn't seem like much of an upgrade. Fussy little princess CD player.
