New vinyl pricing

Hi,

I have recently got into vinyl and only starting looking at new vinyl. There seems to be a massive variation in pricing which seems to be random except for the ones that appeal to the 50+ well paid fan such as Neil Young which can be astronomical.

Any idea of how the pricing is worked out?
