Well here it is then, started...

A place for discussion of all things Rugby, whether club, national or international...
The next joy we have to look forward to is the Rugby World Cup. (I imagine it is at this point some of the NZ forum members will join in...)
Any comments, chaps? Or still a bit too early?

Shame that Flyfisher jumped shipped and abandoned the Naim fold, he'd be giving us all some stick with the Cherry and Whites steaming well ahead at this mid-season mark.
Not that you could tell that they're cheery and white from tonight's game. What a mudbath!
This week has seen the retirement of one of the game's true URL=http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12331_3017313,00.html]greats[/URL]
Only Jonny left now of 2003's real heroes.

Have to say that even as a Scotsman, big Lol was an amazing player in his day, but he is deteriorating as a player. He is doing as the right thing in retiring at the top.
It would be such a shame for him to carry on and become a shadow of the player he is/was.

42-13 against a very respectable Quins side; and now up to third in the Prem and only a very few points behind both Bath and Gloucester. And you thought I was joking...

Oh, is it a busy time of the year for you then, James?

Why else would I be pushed for time with my Tax Return? As JamieWednesday might say, 'working three days in row this week then?'

Enjoying the season at Kingsholm, new stand is great, loads of dark stuff before and during the game.
Enjoying my new systems, but let's not talk about that here.
Leon Lloyd is teaching our boys the tricks of how to cheat, that he learnt with the Tigers. He said on BBC local radio when asked, he was amazed that GLAWS played such a straight game.
Hope all you guys are doing well and wish you all a Happy New Year. I think we are playing WASPS at Kingsholm Saturday fortnight, just got Ospreys (A) and Ulster (H) beforehand.

Sorry to hear that FF, I'm sure you'll be back to winning ways the weekend after!

The England Squad for The Six Nations is full of superb young players and I am genuinely excited at England's prospects over the next four years. I am slightly surprised at the omission of Tom Varndell, however, who is massivley improved this season. Also is Shane Geraghty still injured as he looked an immense talent last year?

Me too!
Also like you I am greatly encouraged by what appears to be a no-grass-growing-under-feet policy.
The old farts jumping ship right away has helped, I think. You have to open the window to let the stale air out and fresh air in.

Did Simpson-Daniel make the squad? I thought he was playing superbly but I know he is injury prone.
Not that i should be trying to encourage England.....C'mon Scotland!!!!!

Mark,
I have some suspicions over what it is about, but fortunately I couldn't get your link to work - kept freezing.
My depression at this w/e's result for Tigers is lightened only by Gloucester getting stuffed (for once
).

Could not agree more, I thought we (tigers) would of walked the game following the rather stunning second half last week. Bring on the Newcastle boy's this week - the ones with a manager! that is
Time to concentrate on the title race - I felt it was 1 game to many last year when the tripple was on and with MC not off for England duty - Pleased Tom Croft had a call - I am going to the match on 2nd - with a Welsh customer - which could be tricky!!
