Well here it is then, started...

A place for discussion of all things Rugby, whether club, national or international...
The next joy we have to look forward to is the Rugby World Cup. (I imagine it is at this point some of the NZ forum members will join in...)
Any comments, chaps? Or still a bit too early?

Another win for Wasps today and another 4 points closer to the play offs with games in hand. It's time for those above to be very very worried!
Mark,
Tigers twice in 2 weeks! - I have managed to get a couple of tickets for the game on 29th! Certainly believe WASP's have the talent to get into top 4 - should be a really great end to the season - We of course are aiming for home advantage![]()
Bring it on, Anthony! We are quite used to dealing with Tigers fans and their outrageous optimism around here!

it's always sad to lose when you score more tries than the opposition!
Ahem, If you have the front to call that second half effort a try!How that was not a scrum to Wasps for a knock on I will never know....advantage, pah!!!
I had conveniently forgotten about that!

Yes and very well placed it is too, I must admit the loss to Worcester gave me some worries - but the boy's played well at home last week - The 2 games on Saturday should be fantastic! Our run in is though - Glous (away)Wasps, bath (away) Brisol, Newcastle (away prob only gimme!) & Quinns NOT to mention the Classic ALL BLACKS in May - ONE game not going to miss!
HOME ADVANTAGE - who knows, you guys have game in hand - but lots of points to get!
Happy hunting

Oh, was there a game today?

Thank you Mr Goode, for a great run out against the Wasps.

My very good mate of mine had given up his season tickets for the Bath game on the 12th as he is away in OZ - Won't need them now as I will be elsewhere!
What a truly great game played by both sides - we had some very good breaks - Andy Goode - is playing out of his skin at the moment, as is Ellis
Let's see what the return match is like this weekend

I agree. Tigers dealt very well with Wasps game and caught them napping a couple of times. They deserved to win. Things may have gone a little differently if Simon Shaw had been in the lineout however, as Tigers controlled way too much of the ball for my liking and the set piece is the usual channel for possession.
We don't normally do too well at Welford Rd, but hopefully Shaw will be back and Edwards would have ripped into the boys for their lack of concentration, especially when the two Tigers half-backs had the ball.
Congratulations to Tigers, but you have your work cut out in the final against Wales!

It's funny I remember posting when England lost to Wales on that day we don't mention, they should send out the Tigers first XV - looks like we are going to see if my prediction is going to come true!
More interested in the play off's at mo, where did Bath come from?? 1st, 1st - looks like it's 4th up for grabs?
Lets see what happens this weekend - Hopefully NO sting in the tail
Welford road at 2.30, I think, no know it will be a though game

Well it's been a couple of days now and not really a lot of stick coming from the Tigers on here. I know one of you has been pretty busy this weekend, but what about the rest of you?!! I expected a whole lot of gloating.
What a bunch of tame Tigers you are! We're off for another hunt this weekend!
Tiger, tiger, burning bright
The cups are gone but the leagues alight!
See you on Saturday with those stripey tails between your legs!

Hi Mark,
To be honest we have not played well in the last couple of games and I was more than impressed about the teams performance, a lot of my work colleagues are wasp's and I have let them know the result more than once
I am sure Wasps will want to be on top Saturday, - bring it on - never grab a Tiger by it's tail even if it is down - the teeth are sharp
Are you coming up for game? - Pint or two of well TIGER!

I'm afraid not, Anthony. It was a plan for James and myself to go to the game and tie that in with a visit to Peter, but we couldn't get tickets. We really need to get cracking because the whole raison d'etre for the 'Forum Rugby Club' was for forum members to travel around and meet up with other forum rugby fans and see some games.
This was an idea born in the bar at Twickenham during last years's Heineken Cup Final when there were 4 of us sharing a drink after the game. Sadly it hasn't come to fruition and the season end is approaching fast.
We should get off our arses and sort something out!

Might be an idea for the Classic All Blacks in May? as most of the regular games will be selling out now - managed to get 2 returns for this weekend in the crumbie trenches
Tickets on sale now, and it looks like a pretty strong team from NZ - NO ZIMMER FRAMES!

My preferred haunt! I think it'll all go when Welford Rd is redeveloped.
Sadly I can't do the Sunday Classic All Blacks' game, as much as I'd like to.
Ah well, next season (my colleague will be able to shoulder more responsibility by then, freeing me up a bit more, hopefully)

We are the best in England! We are the best in England! We have beaten Leicester Tigers 24-19 in rugby!!! It is completely unbelievable! We have beaten Leicester Tigers! Leicester, birthplace of giants. Lady Jane Grey, Sir David Attenborough, Biddy Baxter, Gary Lineker, Martin Johnson, Walkers Crisps, Dean Richards, Graham Chapman, Engelbert Humperdinck, David Icke, John Illsley, Gaye Bykers on Acid, Jon Lord, Bill Maynard, Showaddywaddy, Una Stubbs, Willie Thorne - we have beaten them all. We have beaten them all. Martin Corry can you hear me?
Martin Corry, I have a message to you in the middle of the premiership campaign. I have a message to you: We have taken 4 points off Leicester in the premiership of rugby. Martin Corry, as they say in your language around the bars near St Martin's Square in Leicester: Your boys took a hell of a beating! Your boys took a hell of a beating!

Gather you are pleased with result Mark - good game, Wasps pipped us at the post. Don't want to moan but some decisions should of gone our way = Paul Sackey handing ball away.
It's all to play for 1 - 4 as all of the top three teams lost, Sale have a game in hand over us which worries me.
I have to admit Tigers are n't playing like they want to be in the play off's yet
WASPS have got even further to go!! - lets wait until the 10th May for final games as I think it will all hinge on that weekend

I got an invite today to go to Dallaglio's retirement gig. Three games including an old boys match then a silver service meal and a few drinks. Loads of top rugby names going to be there. There's just one snag.......it's my son's birthday!!!

The usual (of late) Tigers' trait of choking on the big occasion!
Posted on: 12 April 2008 by JWM
Yes, it does seem that Tigers, a club side, did struggle against a side containing the majority of the Grand Slam Welsh National team.
But equally, first you do have to be IN IT to stand even a chance of winning it, eh Mark

I think its fair to say Tigers have lost their way. They lack leadershup and correct descision making at present. Corrie and Goode look like they have played a few to many games this year.
