Well here it is then, started... Big Grin

A place for discussion of all things Rugby, whether club, national or international...

The next joy we have to look forward to is the Rugby World Cup. (I imagine it is at this point some of the NZ forum members will join in...)

Any comments, chaps? Or still a bit too early?

Thank you Glaws!!

Well done and hopefully see you in the final!

Blimey, against all the odds Tigers sneak through into the play offs!

Just back from Kingsholm, what a game. Glaws now know how to defend and have added steel and grit to their many talents.

Bring on the Tigers, pay back for last years final, anyway you should not have been in the play offs on this seasons form.

Take care guys.
FF

Still think this is madness, GLAWS at the top of the GP for 95% of the season and now have to play 2 cup games to decide the winner.

Agreed.

(And could just have saved Loffreda's bacon...)

Although I agree that Gloucester have been the consistent and consistently good side this season, the other thing to say about the GP is that the points system means that things are kept exciting all the way through the season. In the end, it was only a very small margin between the top few clubs. Much better than soccer in that respect.

You will understand FF that I now have to eat my words. Sorry Frown Razz

I'm glad it ended this way for an England legend. Personally my favourite player of the 2003 World Cup winning squad.

Thanks Richard for all the fantastic times you have given England supporters down the years and best of luck with whatever you do next.

agree I was a very nervous supporter for well most of the game when Quinns scored after 2.31 mins - I did think here we go again - however we clawed our way back into it (goody forgot his kicking boots) but Sir Tom Vandell saved our bacon in the last 2 mins.

Heh sorry for sale & quinss - but we had some luck for a change! Our last 8 games have been either stunning or aweful - we have only ourselves to blame -

Agree with FF - it's a bit poor based on Glous season they now have to prove it - I just hope we can give a good account next Sunday

Well, mixed feelings this afternoon. Wasps have won through to the final in a thrilling and hard-fought game but were like the walking wounded at the end. What a time for the famed, but out-of-sorts recently, Wasps defence to come good as the pressure from Bath was immense, just as it was against Gloucester last week.

Especially worrying though, both for Wasps and England, was the injury to Cipriani.

Sorry FF and other GLAWS Fans (seriously! Red Face) but roll on the old firm punch up Final. There's an old score to settle. Grrrrr.
Posted on: 18 May 2008 by Chillkram
And it will be a reversal of last year's with Wasps probably going in as slight favourites this time. Let's hope the result is not a reversal too!

Just watching the replay there, Tuilagi absolutely blasted through Vainikolo. I didn't quite expect that. He really is a train!!

Just a few reminders of the status quo when Wasps meet Tigers at Twickenham;

Forgot this one:

It was a very tight and hard fought game - the first half was almost all Glous, Tigers just kept in the game, I am suprized they did not put the game away when we were down to 13! to be honest

much better for us in the second half - what a last 20 mins - I feel sorry for Glous having dominated the premiership all season and then not going forward they have been the best side during normal play - they need to work on kock out games

So were off to Twickers - look out you pesky wasps!
