Hi just wondering if anyone has a mains spur for their system and was it worth it.

And I was just wondering if a hifi stand was worth buying or should I just stack my Naim on top of each other?

This is a topic that has caused a lot of heated debate over many years, and as a result the moderators of this Forum watch this topic very closely...(Read Forum Rules..above)

All I will say is that I have seperate, dedicated, multiple, 10mm sq spurs...one per powered box, and the difference it has made is fundamentally important to getting the best performance from my hifi

Just the sort of imbecilic comment we have come to expect from the idiot who calls himself Count.d

I thought he`d left this forum years ago, as he promised he would.......evidently not..

Laurie

What are/is 10mm sq spurs and how do they effect sound quality? I had 3 seperate spurs done ages ago but cannot remember the electrician ever mentioning this.

Goldy,

"Mains" comes up 242 times in the subject search and 7,385 times in subjects & message search.

Do you not agree that the question is just a little bit silly?

10mm sq refers to the thickness of the mains cable

As I said above, this is a controversial topic so all I`ll say is that I upgraded my mains and the benefits were large. There are different points of view as to how this is best done, so I`ll leave it to others to elaborate.

As you can see this topic has already been moved to the Padded Cell...in times past the discussion has strayed into areas that may have had safety , and , potentially, equipment warrantee implications.......so I will not expand further here

No it's not - I've asked that question before and was told to get a Fraim so I did.
