Does any wise fellow know if this application alters anything whilst it hijacks an application?
For instance, if you play something out of Foobar does it alter the stream prior to it being received at the AE/AppleTV?

I suspect it has toconvert it to an Apple Lossless stream as that is what the AirTunes protocol uses.
There is now an iPhone client for AirFoil interestingly.

There is. Pretty nifty it is too.
Whatever you are streaming over airfoil will be picked up on the iPhone/iTouch at the same time. Handy for headphone listening.
Only downside is that there are no controls for song switching but the display on the iPhone/iTouch is pretty nifty showing your desktop (wallpaper and all).
