What's your voltage?

Whilst checking on plug types and voltage for our short break to Egypt I spotted these items:-
Brazil has no standard voltage, different states have their own, either 127 or 220v.Japan has single voltage varying frequency. There are several other countries too.
If these things are still true how do companies like NAIM cope with it?

varying frequency
blimey that would cause problems surely?

That should read IF WE COULD BLOODY EDIT :
single voltage(220) at either 50 or 60Hz.

They send all the gear to Japan 220 volt only the poor people live in 127 volt region and can't afford to buy the gear so it is not an issue

Brazil has no Naim importer

Japan uses 100v, 50Hz. Only country to use this config.

We use 3-phase 6.6Kv at 60Hz out here......

Hi BigH47, which part of Brazil did you visited? Yeah, you're right, down here in Sao Paulo it is 110V, the Northeast, for instance, is 220V, always 60hz.

Carlos I have not visited either Brazil or Japan. I was just quoting from a web site. I was not sure how up to date it was though.
