Barking

Posted by: Larry on 26 February 2002

Not long ago, my daughter came back home to stay and brought with her a chap of the hairy 4 legged variety.
Point is, if he barks in the room containing 72/hi-cap/180/Target 5 tier stand, there ensues an almighty resonance/ringing from the stack.
As I am in the market for new hi-fi furniture, ala fraim or quadrispire or other, I come to my question. Is this a sign of poor set up? is the equipment designed to react like this deliberately?
(I've read umpteen posts about ringing but this is in another league)! Does any of this matter?. After all, he does not share the same tastes in music, so that in itself is not a problem. He leaves the room mostly.

Hi Larry:

Answer #1:
Muzzle.

Answer #2:
Is it actually the stand and/or equipment that's ringing or is it the room? If the latter then it's pretty normal. Carefeul speaker and listening positions will sort out most of the issues.

Do what I did ........castrate the dog.

The effects are that the dog grows 5 years overnight and calms down. It will not wander, fight or bark.
