Light therapy for winter SAD

Posted by: Nime on 17 December 2005

Do we have any users or advice on this subject?

There seems to be a few compact flourescent bulbs available now at a fraction of the cost of a typical "therapy light".

Browsing suggests lower light levels over several hours (while watching TV) may actually be better than staring at a very bright light from close up.

The light spectrum is supposed to be important too.

I'd value any thoughts...

I suffered a bit when I went from working outdoors to an office job back in the 80's.
Solved it by going out for a bit of a walk at lunch time, fresh air and exercise to boot what more could a man want!

Hmm. Have you tried looking in horribly expensive shops? You may need flash to capture the fleeting moment. Winker
