Cool. I'd like to see a reply of the storm I drove through on Saturday afternoon just south of Daventry.
It felt like something out of Twister: black skies, sideways rain, 30m. vis and driving down country lanes avoiding fallen trees and then having to re-route when the road was blocked by them!
Excellent fun ...

I experienced something very similar driving on a twisty country road through Gloucestershire on Saturday. One minute it was reasonably bright, and dry, the next minute the skies suddenly darkened alarmingly, to the extent that I had to switch the headlights on - and this was at lunchtime! Then, a sudden, fierce and lengthy downpour - windscreen wipers at full speed, spray going everywhere as the road suddenly became submerged through inches of surface water!
Luckily I was driving a hire car that day. If it had been my own car I'd probably have been swept away!
As you say, marvellous..

All of the sites appear be using the same software - last night it was interesting watching the storm blow across the cannel, the Isle of Wight and then watch it flash around outside.

Metcheck is another site worth a look.
