Oakey,

I think your monitor Audio's are going to let you down on the end of a Naim Sistem.

There are many fine speakers that will be a good match for your Naim gear.

May I just ask what your budget for speakers are?

I am using Allae with CDX2/282/200, it's nearly 2 months old, and not fully run in. I wasn't comfortable with Allae before with CD5, the music seems lack of something, something in the mid-bass range, but after got the CDX2 and run it in for almost 1 week, the music is back in full body, accurate, clear and extended and the bass is beautiful (i.e Eminem Show track 17-say what you say, my room is shaking), the Allae really shine now!

Allae is good speaker and Vale for money, but it needs long time to run in and very sensitive to placement, it can be awful with wrong placement, and It is also sensitive to what you place under the speaker pin.

The problem with adding £2k speakers is that your 112/150 amp will not be getting the best out of them.

I would suggest a pair of speakers in the £500 to £1000 range and save the rest for your amp up-grade.

A 282 would be a good place to start with ideally a hi-cap and 250 and then this would do your CDX and speakers justice.

I second NB's post, there are lots of good low budget speakers and a better preamp will really give you more detail in the music as well as a PSU, FC2 or hicap. I have the 150 and it's a great amp so don't feel like that has to be upgraded soon. Go for the preamp first I'd say.
