I'll chip in!

Cool choices of Kraftwerk and Can etc!

The last time I can rember my whole collection was 1973, when my entire collection was, Bert Weedons 20 Golden Guitar Greats! Not so cool.

As documented previously, I have memory problems, and find myself buying the same record twice, three even four times. I have even done this in the same shopping expidition.

I must get a PDA, and a sandwich student to input my collection into it, so I can carry it around and cross check against a prospective purchase.

..was the last time can remember my record collection.

it consisted of:
Pink Floyd - Dark Side, Wish You, Animals, Obscured By Clouds, Meddle, A Nice Pair, Atom Heart, Ummagumma, Relics and More.

I also had Monster Movie by Can; Doppelalbum, Trans-Europe Express, Radioactivity by the 'Werk; Frampton Comes Alive(!); Syd Barrett, a 2-LP repackaging of Syd's two solo records; Led Zep's II, IV, Presence and Song Remains The same; Made In Japan by the Purps. I also had a £1.49 sampler of the Brain label called, I think, Brain Waves.

I didn't start buying singles or reading the music press until the start of 78. i also had a Saturday job so my collection started to grow exponentially.

David - know what you mean about multiple purchases. I have over 70 Miles Davis LPs and a number of them I've bought twice simply because I didn't know I had them!

Memory - funny old thing isn't it?

Yes, the worst of it was 'Don't Fuck with Nails' by 4E, that I found I had 4 times! It is extremely difficult to keep up the multi-name, multi-label, multi-alias Cologne scene members.

I did get some curious looks at the Record & Tape Exchange when I took a batch of duplicates into them to get vouchers.

I am thinking of setting up a Musicstack site to sell off the extras. Anyone had experience of selling via this method, ot is e-bay the way to go?
