Specs cameras on a322 ligh****er section?

For anyone that lives in the Lightwater(Graham) area of the A322, I have noticed 2 similar cameras mounted along the dual carraigeway stretch(heading towards Guildford), one is at the start of the dual carraigeway as you come of the roundabout and the other is right at the other end of the dual carraigeway just before the roundabout where you turn left to Woking.
I don't have a clue if these are specs cameras and I know this stretch of road is notorious for high speeds, but what other purpose could these cameras serve? they are not located in a position to monitor traffic and they look like Specs cameras. anyone know anything about them?.
The only other thing is if they are Specs cameras dont the local authorities have to advise motorists that variable speed limit detection is in force?

Only if there is a variable speed limit. Does the limit change on that road in accordance with time/traffic conditions? I've only come across it on the M25 so far - is it getting more popular?

Cheers

I used to travel along that stretch of road regularly and would confirm that it would be a great place to catch speeders, like I used to.

Why have a Honda Integra Type R unless you plan to red line it when ever possible, 8900 rpm is such a splendid place.

Are they on a gantry that is painted blue? Is there more that one 'camera' on each gantry, say one for each lane?
I assume they pick up traffic exiting the Island by facing the traffic, as opposed to getting them 'from behind' so to speak?

They could be the new type of camera that tracks average speed over a certain distance, rather than the normal gatso you may be used to...
