The Lunatics are Taking over the Asylum...

I've only been on this forum for a couple of months but already I'm pissed off by some of the over-aggressive posts from forum bullies.
Any chance we can have some kind of civilized discussion - even with those we disagree with?
Regards,
Nigel

Hi Nigel,
Welcome to the forum and dont let some of the overzelous replies put you off in some ways it makes the place more exciting and different you will have to get used to this in some ways im affraid......so lets start by you telling us what rig you have and what music you like.
dont take this the wrong way but perhaps you could update your profile so as we know what you have etc.
Regards, Scotty

How terribly demurely this has all started.
Nigel, hello and I hope I am not one to have given offence.
"Member since 30th October" suggests you may not yet have had your Parry-threshold adjusted as all here must eventually, and might explain what you have observed. Search 'George Bush', 'Fritz', 'Saddam' or 'innit' to find out why.

Ismaningerman, agreed, but isn't it the way - & the fun - of all forums, especially when the blood pressure displaces brain cells & the red mist of rage obliterates everything. The "ignore" button works if its getting too hot to handle, or just chill out and 'ave a larf.
Believe me there are a lot of very experienced folks out there, most all have something somewhere that is helpful to us newbies. I to am reasonably new to Naim and am reading & learning all the time. I don't need to "chat" on subjects reading does it most of the time, and I can & do easily ignore the bullies.

What you need to know is that there are many members here that actually know each other and are good friends. The interaction between them may appear aggressive but it is only friendly banter.
Also, unfortunately, there are a very few members here pumped up with their own self importance. They take every opportunity to make a point. These people might learn only to contribute when they can add something positive or say things in a less provocative manner.
If there is someone who constantly grates, may I suggest you use the ignore button? Use carefully though, you may miss some pearls of wisdom one day!
Julian
ps - looking good Mr Hammer, have you considered trying a Trampolin2? It might do the trick for you with your deck on that heavy cabinet.

I have to agree there are to many "oh! look at my epeen its biggers than yours" types and toooooo much pwnza1337killa talk from the hardcore PvPer's, not to mention the trolling & fanboism ganking our intellectual talk about game machanics and theorycrafting. Also if I see another thread about WOW and its clones and the whole world started in 2004 I'm gonna throw a fecking nerdrage and quit this forum foreva.
