Amazingly enough our Health minister Mr. Tony Abbott, who some time ago made it known that he had had an illegitimate child in a previous relationship, was able to meet his long lost off spring.
Turns out they had been running into each other for a considerable period of time without either being aware of it.
Mr. Abbott's son was a sound recordist working in the Parliamentary Press Gallery.
I must stress that this is a totally different scenario to the information about illegitimate children being reported in Europe.
The young person in qustion by all accounts has had a wonderful upbringing as an adopted child and as far as he is concerned they remain his first and always parents.

I was told recently that it was well known (although I'd never heard it) that Angus Deayton is the illegitimate offspring of a former Python whose name rhymes with "cheese".

Deayton is a former presenter of an irreverant quiz programme on BBC TV, who was forced to resign after tabloid newspapers published, on more than one occasion, stories of his fondness for consorting with "working girls". He also appeared as Victor Meldrew's neighbour in a popular TV series. (And if you don't know who Victor Meldrew is, I ain't gonna tell yer!)
