Can i connect a HiCap to my Nait 3? If so, is it worth it sonically or should I just wait until i go pre/power.
Is £400-500 reasonable for a 7 year old hicap.
I have read much in the forum about the 'character' of some Naim equipment. Is there a difference in type of sound between 102/82 and 180/250?

I cannot comment about linking a Hicap to a Nait 3 in particular but they make a lot of difference when used with most equipment.
A 7 year old hicap is due for recapping and I would suggest £300 is in order. £400/£450 is the going rate for a 2/3 year old model. There are lots around so I would negotiate hard on this deal. Expect to pay about £120 all up if you deal direct with Naim and post the Hicap to them.
