Remote App with Foobar

Not quite final, but FULLY functional component for using iPhone/Touch's native Remote Application to control Foobar.

The only thing missing in my estimation are the "jump letters" on the right side of Artist and Album Views. There are placeholders there now and the sidebar works as it should. Just no actual letters yet.

If you use Foobar and have an iPhone, get it today.

Please leave feedback. If you REALLY like the component, drop the fella $5 or something to motivate for further development and support.

The Remote app is the only reason lately that I have considered converting everything and using iTunes. But this renders the point moot.

A quick Foobar question - is there anyway to get it to read/support AIFF tags?

It works really fine, even the library support, except for compilations/multiple artists albums (mulitiple entries; they don´t appear as one album, but this depends on foobar, I think).

Apart from that, we have "itunes remote feeling" now, for one of the the best media players (PC).

There are two outstanding features that will be implemented in the next version, which will make it "Final" in my estimation.

1) Jump letters in Album and Artist lists.
2) Remote selection playlist jumps to front, i.e., it becomes the active playlist in Foobar.

Currently, if you have other playlists loaded first, then you select an album in Remote, the Remote selection doesn't override the prior selected playlist.

So if you have "Cursor follows music" and "Music follows cursor" selected, it will start playing the previous playlist if you hit next or previous.

I didnt notice this as I have been running everything headless since this is working so well, and haven't loaded playlists.

It will be fixed in the next few days.

It is an amazing component.
