Introducing...William Fitzsimmons

Posted by: Simon Drake on 24 April 2009

Dearest Forumites,
On June 29th, Naim Edge will be releasing William Fitzsimmon's debut album 'Goodnight' in the UK. He blends contemporary folk and electronica in a very unqiue and infectious way that I call 'folktronica' - I'm not expecting that to catch on though! Confused

William is already a big success in the US (and is already on album number two!). I haven't posted anything on the website yet, so this is hot off the press. I'd love to know what you all think!

We had a nice preview with The Guardian: http://www.guardian.co.uk/musi...-william-fitzsimmons

Thought I knew the name. I posted one of his albums on the listening thread.

Are you going to release his second album The Sparrow and the Crow as well Simon?

Love his music.

All being well, we'll out put TSATC next year in the UK! Nothing on paper yet tho.

William's first UK single is available for free in 16bit WAV or FLAC from the new Naim Hi Definition Download Store!

The store looks good, Simon and the "purchase" and download easy. There doesn't seem to be a way of just looking for downloads, though?

Thanks 'troll!
If you look under Recordings tab and filter by the type of download 'Hi Definition' you'll see what content is up there in 24bit.

[assuming that's what you wanted to look for?]
