Linn phono stage- any ideas?

Hi All,

Anybody ever heard of an external phono stage for MC carts called the Linn preamp? (See photo attached). There is one of these available locally. Is there likely to be any advantage over S boards in an 82/2*Hicap for driving an LP12/IttokLV111/Ortofon MCRohmann?

Isn't that one of the preamps Naim made for Linn?
