MusicWorks MegaBlock

Muchachos

Like many out there, I have long been told that theMegaBlock is a must have, and like many out there I did not entirely believe it.

When Sondek Meister Macey told me for the 50th time I should get one of these, I finally got hold of one on ePay.

He was right. But then, he usually is.

The 'Block makes an instant improvement; a degree of graininess is removed and bass response is upgraded significantly, both from my reasonably hi spec LP12 and my humble Rega Planet CDP. It enables my 135s to shine.

Just do it.

It also enhances the midrange, improves musical flow and tune.

Now try the QS Ref supports - they work synergistically with the block to give you about ten times more of the same.

Mike,
Are you going to plug your Lingo into the Megablock? I ask because the conceptually similar Graham's Hydra is for Naim only, and I wondered if this is because of different earthing?

Richard

PS Which mains cable do you use for you Lingo?

Richard

I have plugged the Lingo into the 'Block, sounds good to me. The mains cable is the one that came with the Lingo. I actually need more than 6 plugs and so the Supercap and tuner is plugged into an MK Durablock with a Crabtree mains plug and thick stiff mains cable.

I may try various combinations over time but right now it sounds pretty darn good. Alex has suggested elsewhere that the MusicWorks mains leads are a good buy, but I am attempting to stroll down the Yellow Brick Road gradually, enjoying it as I go!

Get thee behind me.....still waiting for the credit card bill for the Lingo.....
