Air freight advice

Posted by: Ade_52 on 17 May 2008

Hello everyone

My gear has been in storage for the best part of 4 years. I'd now like to get some of it shipped from the UK to New Zealand. Can anyone advise on the best way of doing this - air freight companies, insurance, packaging, pitfalls etc

For now I will be leaving my TT in the UK, with 52/SC, 250, Kans + stands coming to NZ

Thanks

I have previously been recommended a company called Concordia. Check out www.concordiafreight.com . I would advise the equipment be put in their original boxes and then packed together in a purpose-built wooden case.

As your equipment has not been used in four years, they might benefit from a Naim check up before leaving for New Zealand.

Best wishes,

Joe

Ade,

I ended up using the main removals firm. Later I found out they used a local company for air freight that, had I gone direct to them, would have been cheaper and they get custome clearance sorted. That was Halford in Sydney. It may even be reasonable to use UPS or DHL.

Why not have a chat with Chris Murphy at NA Distributors in Wellington.
