Is it just me or are the male lead vocalists of Grandaddy, Sparklehorse, The Thrills and The Flaming Lips all one and the same person?

Its that kind of plaintive, feeble vocal sound that makes me wonder.

Yes, it's the same person. He also does the honours for Mercury Rev.
