Moody Blues MFSL UDCD Al***s

I have managed to acquire the loan of a set of the albums by The Moody Blues that MFSL released in UDCD format.

I haven't got round to playing them all yet but last night I listened to the recent Universal Deluxe version of 'Days Of Future Passed' and followed it immediately with the MFSL version.

The differences were interesting. To my ears, the sound on the MFSL disc is much sweeter, with strings and woodwinds sounding much smoother although brass instruments do not have the punch of the more recent version.

I will sometime, get round to comparing both with my vinyl copy of the album but in the meantime, what do others think of these MFSL releases. They appear to have done a good job.

They are among my favorite MoFi's. I finally managed to get them all, some of them can still be had at reasonable prices - don't hold your breath to pick up Seventh Sojourn on the cheap. There is a copy on amazon UK right now for about GBP500. Big Grin
