I am using as scource a SB-Touch and will switch to a server based system.

I had bad experience getting the Powerline type product to work at all. I had to cross from one radial on my consumer unit into another and it seems that this product isn't suitable for that. It worked as long as I stayed within one radial but with rapidly declining maximum speed with increasing distance between the units.

I went for a Wifi setup, but the quality of that also depends on several factors like build of your house (how many concrete wall and floors need to be crossed), the number of interfering devices like microwaves, mobile phones, noisy surroundings (how many neighbours are using wifi and how strong are their signals).

Best would be wired connection or else personally I would opt for Wifi.

Hi -

another thing to watch out with Powerline is they are appalling generators of RFI which can find its way into your system through many routes - and as I guess many of us go to some lengths to keep RFI out of our audio systems it probably makes sense to be cautious with PLAs.
