AV rack
Posted by: Steve Hall on 09 June 2002
I'm in dire need of a new rack to hold my Loewe Acconda. The specifications are simple, needs to be double width, 3 components high, and have doors of some kind on the front.
New, and inquisitive eight month old reason for upgrade.
Any ideas?

Richard, as far as I understand the Aconda TV rack is curved class with one or two shelves.
The planos(sp?) has a battleship grey rack with pull down door, but its yucky!
Or, do you know of another?

The QKAV, the Quadraspire stand above, its a whopping £900.00 .
If im spending that sort of money on an AV stand, is there one that doesnt look like it was purchased from Staples?

Do you have costs yet for the Av-fraim? And can you get it without the Axent shelf? (ie 3 standard hight shelves?)

Paul, while we're on the subject of pricing, how much do you expect the software rack to be?

We are still working on that! we are looking at ways of making it as flexible as possible to buy.

My wife and I looked at several widescreen TV's about 2 months ago and the Loewe was on the top of the list for viewing.
There is no doubt about the quality of Loewe but the stands are awful. They really let it down.
We settled for a toshiba 36" in the end which has similar quality, is about a grand cheaper with an extra two inches of screen.
