61 Chateau Lafitte Rothschild. Or I mean I might just have been because I just cannot tell. My late rich aunt used to drink 81 Lafitte even for casual entertaining. She gave me a few bottles and I just could not tell that from cheap French wine I buy off the local supermarket.

Ended up giving them the rest away as gifts. Then the price went up by many times.

Do you mean this one?

http://www.chateaulafitte.com/pages_gb/produit.html

It is not very expensive.

Or this one:

http://www.lafite.com/en/php/v..._1_4_1.php?id_vin=50

The second one is about 100X the price of the Lafitte, especially the older vintages.

You're missing out, it is really very nice. Perhaps you should get a bottle to celebrate our Cup Final win?
You know our name is on that cup this year.

I love you too Mark, lol! If it was anyone else I would probably "bite". We'll see on the 30th, it's going to be tough but we live in hope. Whatever happens I think we can be proud that we have beaten Liverpool, Aston Villa and Man Utd to get there.

Sorry Mark, couldn't resist! Of course I will be fully behind your boys. It wouldn't do for 'that lot' across West London to win it!

Duckhorn 2004 Merlot

Comments from the Winemaker

Our Napa Valley Merlot is blended to offer the complexity and balance of a young wine, while embodying the diversity of the whole Napa Valley appellation. This wine is full-bodied with bright fruit and well-integrated tannins that lead to a lingering finish. The aroma is layered with raspberry and cherry, accented by notes of toasted oak, dried herbs, vanilla, and green olive. The flavors are ripe with blackberry and black cherry followed by spicy notes of clove, mint, and black pepper.
