What are you drinking right now?

Copying is flattery, so all respect to Tam!

I'm just about to enjoy a bottle of this with Mrs. CD555 ...

.. while we listen to Portishead – Third.

So, what are you drinking right now?

Just a ten year old, but it is rather nice

Uigeadail is a lovely dram but, pound for pound, Ardbeg ten year old is one of the very, very best.

Prompted by Deb's thread I ventured into my local Majestic Wines today. Having established that the Manager was indeed old enough to drink alcohol, I let him guide me round the store whilst I picked a dozen bottles out.

1st up...

Gordon enjoy, and a very Happy Christmas to you.

I rarely drink these days, but MilesSmiles forced me ( Winker) into a Bellini earlier this week and I have got the taste for them. My wife and I are listening to the final Chris Evans drivetime show, downing Bellinis and cooking a good meal. Nice Smile

Merry Xmas to you and your family Adrian and as the song goes..."Thank you for the music".

I'm just glad to be out of the gallery for a week and away from ruddy customers!

Drinking? I wish. Sat in the hole that is Ipswich hospital waiting for my father in-law to escape after suffering a mini stroke yesterday. Another shite Christmas. I honestly can't remember enjoying this season.
Thank Apple for iPhones. The hours haven't been too cruel.

Thanks Ken. We are home now and trying to forget the miserable experience.

Whatever you all drink, enjoy it for what it is. It's people that matter.

Dear Tony,

Sorry to hear about your F-in-L, and hope he makes a good recovery.

I know it's not of the same order, but having had Flu throughout last Christmas and New Year, and slipped disc at Easter, I can sympathise a lot. And in the last couple of days, two of my colleagues with whom I work closely have been afflicted, one with ice-fall, bruises and broken wrist, the other's husband having suffered a (thankfully mild) heart attack.

Try to stay positive.

ATB,
James

And drinking? I'm on my chacteristic buckets of Waitrose Earl Grey.

A 40 year old Taylor Flaggate Tawney port.
It tastes so good, I don't even want to let it down my throat.
Thank you,"Q"!!

Xmas day tradition. Started on a bottle of Harveys Bristol Cream at 9am here in Kuala Lumpur. Bacon Butties, then start preparing Xmas lunch and keep going until its finished.

Then onto the wine.

Then pass out.

Now you know why its a "Merry" Xmas

Having just consumed 2 pints of very splendid Hydes Jeckyls Gold at the local )a tradition with First Born) we are all indulging in a 'quiet' Sancerre.

An amusing little bott;e whose taste interestingly improves dependent upon the surface upom whaich it has been rested and the glass from which it is consumed. (tests on toothpaste will surely follow Winker

Tony - my mum is down the recovery route though still in hospital (the whole unit in lockdown due to an utbreak so you have my sympathy and best wishes

Just finished our "with meal" red a Bardolino, and very nice it was too.

Had a taste of the Dr Herman Auslese (my daughter only drinks white) I'll have some more later with pud and/or cheese.

I'm giving this one a few minutes to breath as we speak. Smile

I have to be honest and say that I find it a little dry? But nice.

I have switched to

which is a lovely wine but imho it isn't worth the extra money from the basic Wolf Blass Yellow Label which is a cracking wine albeit rather pedestrian.

Having been on antibiotics for a persistent chest infection since the end of November, I am now celebrating the end of my enforced abstainance with a Caol Ila 12 year old. It is going down very nicely.

It is Chinese New Year over here. The locals are into beer, liquor and rice wine. I am starting to miss the local brew at the place where I used to live in the UK. Any fans of Brains Bitter on these boards?

A bit OTT but some may well have the taste and wallet for a bottle or two of 41% ABV 'Sink the Bismarck'.

This is a pleasant surprise!
