Berlusconi has won again. Here, for many, it looks half a farce and half a tragedy.
How does it look from outside? Are italian things as immaterial as I hope, in the end, they look?

Depressed for the next five years.

My Italian partner is very depressed about this too, but it had an air of inevitability about it. The fact that a billionaire media tycoon can also be in such a position of political power (again) is shocking. Could it ever happen here?
I suppose that means he is immune to prosecution for the next five years?
I regularly read Beppe Grillo's blog, and it's a real eye-opener about how things work over there
My commiserations, but hey, that's democracy isn't it?
