I-Tunes store Download Hell

Posted by: von zipper on 14 May 2007

Not sure If I dare mention the phrase I-Tunes store here but it seems like they have a big problem at the mo, judging by all the complaints on their forums. I use I-Tunes when making compilations for friends and noticed that It wasn't accessing Gracenote for track info. It also refuses to connect to the I-store and times out. This doesn't really bother me as I don't download music but it Looks like this is a major problem for what seems to be mostly Tiscali users with both companies denying any responsibilities...apparently some people have had the problem for weeks now. Lets here it for the cyber revolution!!!!

Its fine for me.

I guess customers are asking for trouble when they choose a broadband provider who pumps it in from abroad haha.

I have Tiscali braodband while I am working in the UK temporarily. Their service is unreliable and their support is very poor (IMO). Unfortunately I didn't have much choice for providers so I'm stuck with them. So the problem may be Tiscali rather than the iTunes Store (which I never had a problem with through my US Comcast connection).

Cheers

Its really difficult to put the blame at apples door on this one. They will want everyone to have full and unlimited access to the music store.

Conversely Tiscali came second from bottom in customer satisfaction for broadband with TalkTalk at the bottom, mainly because they had just launched.
