And what a lovely room Colin ! - You suddenly have me missing Asian cities and apartments..!![]()
Steve.
Thats about one quarter/one fifth of the size of the room, which is a huge L shape. Wonderful views, lightness etc. But solid marble floors and glass walls which is not so helpful for the hifi. Some element of splashy HF long-time echo in there which is inevitable, but the positioning of the carpets etc, and the listening chair in a nearish-field hot spot has helped hugely.

Great pictures Jon - looks like a really interesting place and great for a spot of fishing!

If you can post a couple of pictures if you are in the centre near the Rex Hotel and Post Office that would be good. It's 20 years since I visited - I'd be interested to see how it's changed. All bikes and virtually no cars then!

That's the most tranquil I've seen Halong Bay for ages....The last time I was there I almost ended up in the drink it was that choppy!......Good photoshop work getting rid of all the tourist boats Jon...!
Peter - You'll be blown away how HCMC has changed! I could write a page here, but I remember in the early '90s there were only a handful of buildings in central Saigon that were over 4-5 storeys - now it's like a mini Bangkok ! Of course, all the things that normally come with such development now reside there.....
The best thing about HCMC is it being a hopping off point for the Delta....

Jon was posting on another tread, so he at least has internet access.
