Japanese j*** RVG's: where to buy in the US and are any of them overly bright or forward?

I'm replacing many of my jazz discs due to unfortunate environmental circumstances beyond my control so, I thought I'd check out the most musical sounding versions of some of the Rudy Van Gelders, etc. I remember liking the '50s stuff, the Monks and the Clifford Browns and think that I'd replace them with the domestic. reissues. I remember some of the '60 stuff as being too forward and bright for my tastes.
Where can I buy, at a reasonable price and from a reputable dealer, Japanese RVG's, Kind of Blue, etc? And, which of the US reissues are particularly musical to you, in audiophile terms.
